Chike Uzuegbunam was born and raised in Georgia. He grew up attending church, but it was not until college that he had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. That relationship changed everything. Ever since then, Chike’s love for Christ and for people has motivated him to share the joy he experiences and the good news that Jesus died on the cross and rose again to pay for our sins and give us eternal life. His passion is to share this life-changing message with his neighbors. And he has had the opportunity to do just that – sharing his Christian faith and defending the truth of the Gospel on college campuses and other community events.
While Chike was a student at Georgia Gwinnett in 2016, college officials stopped him from sharing his Christian faith with fellow students on campus. This violation of his First Amendment rights resulted in a lawsuit, which is now before the U.S. Supreme Court.
After his college years, Chike moved to New York City, where he rises to the challenge of preaching the Gospel in a city known for its “hurrying, feverish” crowds. His ministry there includes proclaiming the Gospel on college campuses, compassionately sharing his faith with and helping those considering abortion, and preaching Christ throughout New York City.
The message of the Gospel is worth proclaiming with fervency and zeal! Please join us in prayer that God would bless the proclamation of His Word in America’s most populous city.
